About Palava
Palava was born while I was living abroad — surrounded by endless brands and fast-moving trends that all started to feel the same.
I realised how rare it was to find something that truly felt like home: clothing that was cool, but conscious. Not another imported label or short-lived fashion moment, but pieces with soul, intention, and a real story behind them.
When I returned to South Africa, I decided to start from scratch.
Palava is built on the belief that local isn’t just enough — it’s everything. From weaving and printing to cutting and stitching, we work closely with small businesses, seamstresses, and artisans who care deeply about craft, quality, and community.
We don’t chase trends or seasons. We create slowly and deliberately — often as one-of-one pieces or in very small runs — allowing each garment to exist as its own moment rather than part of a mass-produced collection.
Made slowly. Made locally. Made with heart.
